Praise God

Praise the Lord , everything he has created, everything in all his kingdom. Let all that I am praise the Lord .

Psalms 103:22 NLT

We sang a song when I was a kid right before the benediction was given. I’m not sure of anyone that sings this song anymore anywhere. Once I got older it made since, but as a kid I didnt even get all the words right. I knew the melody and the punch lines in there, but did not know it completely. The song was;
1. Praise God, from whom all blessings flow;
Praise him, all creatures here below;
Praise him above, ye heav’nly host;
Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.

Now I understand the song the song clearly as it directly meshes with psalms 103:22.
I didnt understand the lyrics but it’s the same. Praise God the one who blesses you. Praise God the one who made you. Praise God the one who saved you. Praise God the one who kept you. Praise God the one who sustains you. Praise God the one who provided for you. Praise God the one who delivered you…

What if

Because of Christ and our faith in him, we can now come boldly and confidently into God’s presence.

What would you do if you couldn’t pray for yourself? What would you do if you could not literally pray for yourself. Meaning you had to go to someone else to ask the to pray to God for you about your stuff. Those prayers we pray after we have did something we were not supposed to and told not to and and we wouldn’t do again. We now have to repeat those things back to another person to pray that God forgives you. Your prayer is now based on how someone else prays for you. I asked my son and my daughter and they both exclaimed with a turned up face, “that’s to much!”.

HERE IT IS…

Because of Christ, you can now come into Gods presence. I’m sorry you have to forgive me I missed a portion. Because of Christ we can come boldly and confidently… I did it again. The bible says that because of Christ AND OUR FAITH IN HIM… Christ came so that we might have life and have it more abundantly. That doesn’t mean you dont have to do anything, that means that your faith level should be in a place and high enough that you can boldly and confidently come to God and pray. Christ died for you, me, us… he came that we can have a right to salvation and eternity. He came to intercede for us. He came so that we can have a direct connection to the father. Your activation is your faith…

Gives me life?!?!?!

Our lives are a Christ-like fragrance rising up to God. But this fragrance is perceived differently by those who are being saved and by those who are perishing. To those who are perishing, we are a dreadful smell of death and doom. But to those who are being saved, we are a life-giving perfume. And who is adequate for such a task as this?

2 Corinthians 2:15‭-‬16 NLT

One of the sayings of this time that I didnt like, (but ended up using) was “this gives me life…”. It was something that again I looked at from a natural perspective. As I looked at this and started to use it, it almost felt as if I was depending on what ever it was to make me feel better or uplift me. To say that something gives me life was making me wonder why would I allow that to be a phrase I used. Then I read these scriptures in 2Corinthians and it hits me…

HERE IT IS…

We have things that drain us, and things that give us life. We have things that uplift us and things that tear us down. We have people in our life we hold on to that drags us down and people un our life that pulls us up. Just as the question at the end of verse 16 says, “who is adequate for such a task as this?”…

Same God

And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus. Now all glory to God our Father forever and ever! Amen.

Philippians 4:19‭-‬20 NLT

I’m not sure about you, but there has been times when I didnt know how I was going to make it. I’m not talking about through the month, or the week. I’m talking I didnt know how I would make it through the day. Money was low, groceries were few, and gas was on E. Rent was due, utilities was about to get cut off and I had no job. Just the thought about what I should do to make it was gone. I had no ideas, no matter what I thought about it wouldn’t work. Family was not able to help and assistance was not available. It was in these times where I was at a lost for words, thoughts, and ideas. It was a long, tough time.

HERE IT IS…

Just when I thought all hope was lost. Just when I thought I wouldn’t make it. Just when I knew I had failed. God vindicated me and saved me. Just when I thought it was going to get worse things started to change. Just when I felt all hope was lost, God came and did just what he said he would do. The same God that did it for you, did it for me. The same God that made it work for my grandmother and mother, is the same one that did it for me. The same God that was able to provide for you did it and still does it now. I may not have what I want m, but I know that God is the one that can supply it to me in due time. He can and will do it.

Test the spirit

Dear friends, do not believe everyone who claims to speak by the Spirit. You must test them to see if the spirit they have comes from God. For there are many false prophets in the world.

1 John 4:1 NLT

One of the things I have had to learn about being a christian, a preacher, and just in life in general is not letting everyone speak over or to you spiritually. I have grown to find it interesting when people come up to you and state these words, “God told me to tell you…”. Its even better when the words dont line up with what God had told you. Honestly sometimes I want to ask, how do you know? Or who told you that? Or even ask, you sure that’s what he said? It’s often times that people want to become apart of, or even take credit for what God has said and done in your life. Some people may use that to even tear you down.

HERE IT IS…

You cant allow just anyone to speak into your life. You cant allow anyone to try and tell you what God said about you. Preacher, are you saying that I shouldn’t listen to anyone that says that? Not at all, there are going to be people that you know, and even that you dont know, that will have the spirit of God to speak into your life and build you up. However, I am saying that I am in agreement with the word that says, “test the spirit to see if it comes from God.” . We have to be able to distinguish between the 2. Know this, God will send people your way, but there will be people that just comes your way as well…

Dont wait

Praise the Lord , you angels, you mighty ones who carry out his plans, listening for each of his commands. Yes, praise the Lord , you armies of angels who serve him and do his will! Praise the Lord , everything he has created, everything in all his kingdom. Let all that I am praise the Lord .

Psalms 103:20‭-‬22 NLT

You remember when you were little and at Christmas time you were opening the gifts and it was the small things under the tree. You opened it and was just being polite by saying thank you? You were opening up those gifts looking for that one big gift you asked for. You opened up one, then another, and another. The only thing you were looking for was that one gift you asked for. That gift that you asked for with the disclaimer to your parents that it was the only gift you wanted to get. If you didnt get anything else you wanted that one gift. You went through and opened all the others and didnt see it. Then they give that one last gift they had hidden somewhere, and it was what you were waiting on.

HERE IT IS…

When that gift comes and you open it, we almost lost our mind. We were screaming, yelling, hugging, and running. That’s exactly how we should praise god everyday. Everyday we wake up here on earth we receive a gift that’s like no other. The scripture says, “let all that I am praise the Lord.” . We are made from the dust of the earth which means that even the earth will praise the Lord. Why wait? Why wait for a big blessing when every breath, every blink, every step and move we make is a blessing. Praise God with everything in you.
