Jesus will fix it

“I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.””
‭‭John‬ ‭16:33‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Going through sometimes means just that… going THROUGH.

(Singing) “trouble in my way, I have to cry sometimes, trouble in my way, I have to cry sometimes, I lay awake at night, but that’s alright, JESUS HE WILL FIX IT, AFTER WHILE.”

As I live, this song, which I hold it close, I never had to really rely on it and understand it for me until I had to cry sometimes, and lay awake at night. It was then at that moment that this song came to me. It was then when I realized that it’s okay to cry SOMETIMES. It was then when I knew laying awake is apart of the process. It was also then that the latter words of this song rang true for me. What I had to understand about this song and what really made me be able to sleep at night and able to still go through with a smile on my face

HERE IT IS…

JESUS WILL FIX IT, (WHEN) AFTER WHILE… And that’s good enough for me. When I sang this song after hearing my mother sing it in the kitchen, the car, the living room, the laundry room, I realized I had never really heard it until I had to go through it.
You never know what something means until you have to do it yourself. I have had to push my way though stuff without a tangible way, or explanation as to how it would workout. Solely on the premises of that song JESUS WILL FIX IT AFTER WHILE…

What do you need Jesus to fix for you?
What do you need from him?
I encourage you all to have faith to say this your self. Sing this song
Trouble in my way, I have to cry sometimes, trouble in my way, I have to cry sometimes, l lay awake at night, but that’s alright,
JESUS HE WILL FIX IT AFTER WHILE

Pick up the call

“He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him. With long life will I satisfy him, And shew him my salvation.”
‭‭Psalm‬ ‭91:15-16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

One phone cal can change things whether it’s good news or bad news. I can remember when my maternal grandparents passed I was the one who answered the phone and had to either deliver the news or tell my mom who was on the phone. That’s hard having to do something like that especially when you have to interrupt something they are doing. Just a phone call can change the thoughts and mindset you have in an instant.

HERE IT IS…

When God calls you will you answer? When he dials the numbers of your heart and drops something on you, will you answer him? We expect God to answer whenever we call upon him. We expect God to be there for us in our time of need. And, he is there all the time. Why is it that we feel we have the right to send God to spiritual voicemail? We treat God like the people calling about you cars warranty. Just like those people they use a different number to call you back. One way or another your going to have to answer that call. Pick up the phone.

He sees you

“For he shall give his angels charge over thee, To keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands, Lest thou dash thy foot against a stone. Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: The young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet. Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.”
‭‭Psalm‬ ‭91:11-14‬ ‭KJV‬‬

As I drive on the highway everyday I see that we have these long poles placed on the side of the road that have been placed in certain spots. These poles are certain distances apart and pointed in a specific direction. At the top of these poles are cameras that allow the highway patrol and the city workers to see what is going on and to react to accidents and traffic issues quickly. Before the cameras we relied upon making a phone call to alert them of the issues and before that we had constant patrolling of the highway. But the cameras allow them to see you when and as things happen to help you in a more efficient and prompt way…

HERE IT IS…

Sometimes those cameras can fail, but because of the God I serve he never has or will fail me. He sees my coming and my going. No matter where I am or what I am doing he sees it. If I am in trouble he sees it, causing trouble he sees it, need assistance he is there. Because he can see me I don’t have to wait for other people to come to my rescue. I can count on God to be there immediately. No matter what you are going through no that God sees you.

Protected

“Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, And from the noisome pestilence.”
‭‭Psalm‬ ‭91:3‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Message translation – That’s right—he rescues you from hidden traps, shields you from deadly hazards.

This verse is showing us that God sees what you dont see. There are things out there to trap you harm you and destroy you, BUT thanks be to God our all knowing, and seeing God that he is able to move us from those things and and PEOPLE, who are out to destroy us. I dare you to take a look back over your life and see the things that were designed to hurt, hinder, kill and destroy you, but had no way of getting to you. God is so ever faithful that even in our darkest time and lowest point God willl move us into his presence.

HERE IT IS…

Just because its dark and lonely and secluded doesnt mean that your all alone and no one is there. Sometimes God has to REMOVE you from everything to get you to a place and a mind frame that he can release you from those things by hiding you. Just know that when its dark your not alone, and that you are not being punished but you are being PROTECTED.

I quit

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭12:1‬ ‭NLT‬‬

I QUIT…..

You ever been in a place of employment and just decided to quit? You ever just decide that what was going on there you just wasn’t going to take it anymore and that this was the best decision. I mean what was going on had your blood boiling, you were ready to tear some stuff up and just walk out. You had the thought that what I have to endure here is not worth my blood pressure being up, or my mind running about this place and I’m not even at work. I mean the drama that was there was so bad you thought about it, talked about it even when your not there? You said to yourself you know what that’s it I QUIT. I can’t take it anymore I can’t do it, that’s enough, I’m worth more than this, I can do with out this headache. I think we all have been there. I think we all have had that moment where we said I QUIT…

HERE IT IS…

WHAT IF WE HAD THAT SAME ATTITUDE ABOUT OUR LIFE?
What if we had that same attitude to make our life better. I mean we are able to sometimes quit a job without any other job lined up and no means of income and still feel good about it, but we can’t quit doing the things that God doesn’t want us to do (sin). What if we say I quit to being employees of sin.
What if we quit smoking
What if we quit cheating
What if we quit cussing
What if we quit being the person God doesn’t want us to be
Quit being mean
Quit being broke
Quit being a liar
Quit being vindictive
Quit being lazy
Quit being a drug addiction
Quit being a alcoholic

Go to the mirror look at yourself and say
Today is the day that I QUIT…

Oh taste

“Taste and see that the Lord is good. Oh, the joys of those who take refuge in him!”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭34:8‬ ‭NLT‬‬

In this day and time we are faced with so many different things. Our kids are faced with so many different things. Just this week we have had school shootings and murders. Even in the midst of all the things we have going on we still lo have one thing to hold on to, God! I believe a lot of times that we are faced with issues and problems we run to the law enforcement and local and national governments. When we seemingly forget the power we have been given ourselves. What’s stopping us from doing just what the writer has done here?

HERE IT IS…

These written exclamation is not one just of how good God is but supplies us with many different ways he is who he says he is.
He answered my prayer.
He freed me.
He heard me.
No shadow of shame fell upon me.
He guards me.
In all the things that he claimed there is still more and this become an exaltation of his great and mighty love of how things changed. It’s time to make a change and with God we will be able to show others how great he is.

Protection

Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by me: whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake.  No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord , and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord .
Isaiah 54:15‭, ‬17 KJV

We all know and quote the portion of verse 17 that “no weapon formed against me shall prosper…”. We all know and believe that the weapon itself will not prosper. We all have heard the scripture preached and taught in different ways. Where people would say that it won’t hurt you, that it won’t get close, those are some of the things we have all heard. Even though the weapons form and won’t prosper, that doesn’t mean their will not be someone there to make you feel like it has power. One thing that I have discovered is that it says in the last portion of 17 that it’s the heritage of the servants. This is not something that you have to purchase, or ask for. It’s already in you to have it.

HERE IT IS…

This is God’s provision for you. He is not going to allow something to happen to you because you have not asked or went to go get it. His protection over you is in you because your in Him. It’s been passed down through the years to protect you the way God does. His protection is already been given to you before you were born. Sometimes we may not understand why he allows things to happen to us. We may not comprehend his methods of teaching at time of the lesson. Because of who we are to him his grace and mercy that’s given to us everyday, He makes sire that we are covered and protected. Even though they may rise against us and point the weapons in our face, we are still protected.

Who have you told?

“Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever. Has the Lord redeemed you? Then speak out! Tell others he has redeemed you from your enemies.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭107:1-2‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Janet Jackson had a song called, What have you done for me lately? A simple question but one that implied that you had to do something for her to get something from her. You could try to say that the same question has been asked here in this writing of psalms. The writer is not asking what what have you done for the Lord. Instead, asking if God has done something for you then you ought to tell someone just how good God has been to you.

HERE IT IS…

Truth of the matter is that we should have something to tell everyday. Yeah, it may seem repetitive but it’s a constant reminder just how good God is and has been. Waking up in the morning may seem like it will happen regardless but somebody didn’t wake up this morning. Breathing may seem like your body controls it but it all works because he keeps the air around you breathable. The movement of your limbs seem like it’s natural but it’s something supernatural that happens to keep it happening. Tell someone how the Lord saved you and keeps you everyday.

What’s that smell

Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ. He loved us and offered himself as a sacrifice for us, a pleasing aroma to God.
Ephesians 5:2 NLT

I know that everyone here has had that experience where they are somewhere and they are minding they’re own business and something comes across your nose. I’m talking about that smell that comes across and makes your face frown all the way up. Your eyes squint. Your hand comes over your nose or you start fanning your face. You can’t put your finger on it but something stinks. I mean something smells so bad that you are shaking your head no, and nobody asked you a question. It’s that stunk that has you almost grasping for air, or your allergies start to act up and you start sneezing. Is that what we smell like to God sometimes? Is this what our aroma to God smells like when we are cold to one another, and we hold grudges? Do we produce a stink that God has to cover his nose because of the stink we produce?

HERE IT IS…

How is it that we can call ourselves Christians, and can’t love one another? We praise God on Sunday and ridicule someone on Monday? We walk pass people and don’t speak? The scripture for today says to live our life FILLED with love. That doesn’t mean you have to be up in the person’s face. Have to always hold their hand or hug that person. The truth of the matter is that love is a state of the heart and mind. If we are to love one another and we have a heart that is filled with resentment, hurt, pain, discord, then we have to ask God to help us with it, but we can still love each other. Follow the example of Christ because he loved us, then we should love one another.

Call him

“He will rescue the poor when they cry to him; he will help the oppressed, who have no one to defend them. He feels pity for the weak and the needy, and he will rescue them. He will redeem them from oppression and violence, for their lives are precious to him.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭72:12-14‬ ‭NLT‬‬

I got in trouble in middle school. I was terrible, however, my attitude was on a different level. I was always getting into arguments with teachers. I would get kicked out of BAND CLASS of all places. I had an issue and I didn’t know what it was. Every time I got in trouble they sent me to the principals office and the principal knew our family. When she called one day with me in the office I heard her say, “Mrs. Berry I have your son here with me, could you have some one come and talk with him.” Then my mom said, “I’ll call his father.” When my father arrived he listened and heard what she had to say and then she did something principals don’t do anymore. She left the room.

HERE IT IS…

When your in trouble sometimes it’s okay to be alone with God. Sometimes it takes you being all the things listed in the verses above for God to get your attention. When you are alone in a room with God and you have no where to run, no distractions. Nobody else to give you advice and the only thing you can do is stay still, it may seem like your about to get punished. You just might, then God reveals to you who he really is. A provider. A confidant. A friend. A peace. A lifter of heads. God comes to rescue you because of who you are to him. You just have to call on the father.
