He sees you

“But when you pray, go away by yourself, shut the door behind you, and pray to your Father in private. Then your Father, who sees everything, will reward you.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭6:6‬ ‭NLT‬

Whatever that your doing now that no one else sees, will see it. You don’t have to tell anyone that you were praying for them. Just do it. You don’t have to tell anyone you sowed into them. Just do it. You don’t have to let anyone know that your fasting on their behalf. Just do it. The truth of the matter is the statement what’s done in the dark will come to light is not only meant for the negative. What you do for God behind closed doors, in the dark, on your face and in your word will come to light.

HERE IT IS…

Pray by yourself in private in a secret place. Then God who sees everything will reward you. Your prayers matter. You talking to God matters. When you converse with him it matters. Because what you do behind closed doors will start to come to pass. It will start to grow. It will be seen in the open just what You prayed for. Keep praying.

Unchanging

“Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭13:8‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Change is said to be inevitable. They say that change is going to come no matter what. Evolution is the definition of change. Change is something that we all are going to have to face, and endure. How do you face and handle change. How are you able to deal with changing times in a world where things are changing faster and faster.

HERE IT IS…

Hold to his hand, Gods unchanging hand. Even though the world changes Gods thoughts about you doesn’t the weather may change, but Gods view on you doesn’t get distorted. The thoughts that others have about you may change, but the God of our salvation will always be there for us. We all will change someday, but being able to God is what keeps us from going over the edge. Hold to his hand, Gods unchanging hand.

Overcome it.

“Don’t let evil conquer you, but conquer evil by doing good.”

Have you ever felt that no matter what you tried that you couldn’t win. That when you thought you had a handle on things something else came out of no where and hit you to make you fall or be hurt. The one thing that you can think about is how your going to retaliate. Wanting to get some “get back”. You want to make them feel the way you felt. You want them to see how it feels to be put in that position or worse. We all have been in that place and mindset.

HERE IT IS…

The best thing that you can do to counteract the things that have happen against you is keep moving forward. Take your hits stand up and keep moving. I know it doesn’t sound like it is the right thing but trust me going down that road will only allow evil to win more. Allow God to handle them. You continue to move with your face towards God. When it’s all said and done you will be the one in control.

JLG (Just Let Go)

“If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake and for the sake of the Good News, you will save it.”

I love action movies and I especially love the action movies that keep you on the edge of your seat and end as a cliffhanger. These movies keeps your mind in wonder. What I have noticed is that there seems to be a man actual cliffhanger scene in each of those movies. It may not be on an actual cliff per-say, but it’s in the same form. Where one character is hanging on to something while also hanging on to another person to try and save both of their lives. The one hanging at the bottom makes the realization that someone has to let go.

HERE IT IS…

What are you hanging onto that is keeping you from living the way God wants you too? What has you hanging off the side of a cliff holding on for dear life but your to scared to let go because you can’t see what’s below you but all you hear is Gods voice telling you to let go. It’s cloudy and windy and your grip is losing its strength. You look down and can’t see anything but God still says let go. Your holding on because what your holding on to has strayed to break and fall where you are hanging and God says let go. If you let go because God says let go trust that your life will never be the same. Just Let Go…

It’s working

“Heaviness in the heart of man maketh it stoop: But a good word maketh it glad.”

Yesterday I ran into a woman from church that I knew at a 7eleven. This woman who others look at and make predetermined thoughts and feelings about this woman never give her an opportunity to speak. This woman I seen at the store spoke to me and asked me could she talk to me about some stuff because she trust that I wouldn’t lead her astray. This woman knows God and knows his word, but just like us has been through some things.

HERE IT IS…

It’s hard to see through your own eyes what people see in you. Sometimes and some day someone will come to you as this woman did and shock you with some of their words because you thought what you were doing, the prayer ls you pray, the scripture you read everyday. Even the stuff that you go through is not working. Let me encourage you and myself right here. ITS WORKING AND WORKING FOR YOUR GOOD. You just keep going. You keep praying. You keep preaching. You keep teaching. It’s working.

God-fidence

“When doubts filled my mind, your comfort gave me renewed hope and cheer.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭94:19‬ ‭NLT‬‬

When my children were in grade school and I had to help them with their homework and it was something difficult, it seemed at times I could see the thoughts in their head. Wondering if the answer they were about to give was the right one. If the work to the problem was right. If they would ever get this work done. They started to doubt if they did it right because they got it wrong once or twice before. Having to help them became frustrating because I knew as their father they could do it. They just had to use what they had learned.

HERE IT IS…

It wasn’t until I encouraged them push them and showed them the work they had done before that their confidence grew. I dare you to take a look back over your life and see how your father in heaven has brought you over. Even if you got it wrong before. Even though you messed up. Even though you went the wrong direction. Even though you didn’t listen the first time. God will remind you and show what he has done for you before to renew your confidence to let you know that you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you!

First Love

“We, though, are going to love—love and be loved. First we were loved, now we love. He loved us first.”
‭‭1 John‬ ‭4:19‬ ‭MSG‬‬

“We love him, because he first loved us.”
‭‭1 John‬ ‭4:19‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Two different versions say something so simple two different ways. KJV says that we love him(God), “because he first loved us.” The message says it in a way that may seem a little complicated but yet understandable. First it starts with a assurance that we will in fact “love – love, and be loved.” Then it tells us why! “First we were loved” then it tells us that because of our first love “now we love”. Here is the final statement as to why, “He loved us first.”

HERE IT IS…

The reason why you love the way you do. Why you love so hard. Why you feel so pressed to be in love is because we are all looking for that love that we first experienced. Not the high school sweetheart love. Not the one who got away love. Not the too if but it was good love. We are looking for the love we received before we were born. The love that covers all. There is only one place that we are able to receive that type of love and that is through “our father which art in heaven”. Stop looking for love in carnal things and go to the one who first loved you before anyone else knew you!

Overflow

“I pray that your love will overflow more and more, and that you will keep on growing in knowledge and understanding. For I want you to understand what really matters, so that you may live pure and blameless lives until the day of Christ’s return.”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭1:9-10‬ ‭NLT‬‬

The other day I went by the house we lived in before. I was there because my friend has moved into it and I was helping him to move something. While I was there I looked out into the backyard and noticed my above ground garden was still there. As I continued to look harder I saw some fresh growing leaves that I recognized. It was that same sweet potato vine that I thought I had removed. It seems as the sweet potato plant has continued to grow because there was something left in the ground that took root.

HERE IT IS…

Even though it thought I got all the plants out they still kept growing. To the point the vines were over flowing from the garden. This is the way Gods word is with us. Sometimes we do stuff that we think disconnected us from his love. We are not worthy. We don’t deserve it. And we don’t. However, because of who God is, his word takes root in us and will continue to grow in us. When you get into his word more that’s when we will begin to overflow and live according to his will.

My prayer for you

“I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭15:13‬ ‭NLT‬‬

When you pray for others what do you pray for? What are you asking God to do for others? Are you asking him to bless them with things? Are you asking for God to give them their hearts desire? Sometimes we can get our prayers for others to be tangible things for God to do instead of asking that they trust God and be blessed with his joy and his peace.

HERE IT IS…

I know that in my prayer for others that if they receive him and trust him then they won’t have to look for peace. If I pray that they follow his word that his joy will fill their life. Then, all the other things that God has for them will be added into them. This is my prayer for you. This scripture passage is the prayer I pray for you. That you will go to God and be filled with his hope, joy and peace. That you would trust him and all the things he has for would added unto you. Amen

The way

I know growing up I wanted to be rich. Have a lavish lifestyle and buy my family everything that they ever wanted. To be able to just go and do whatever I wanted and not have to work. Then as I grew up I realized there was a stark difference in being rich and wealthy. I understood the difference between the two. But, as I got even older I realized again that there is a difference in being wealthy in the world and being wealthy in God.

HERE IT IS…

What you are able to obtain may not be manifested by what you do. May not be given by what you invest. It may not be obtained by what you are able to save. The way to riches, honor, and long life is obtained through true humility and fear of the Lord. It’s not in your money or houses or land. It’s in you knowing who God is and reverence Him and showing true humility now. Recognize that even though your not where you want to be you still did not get there in your own strength and power and knowledge. God led you. God directed you. God guided you.
