Filled

“Then the Lord God formed the man from the dust of the ground. He breathed the breath of life into the man’s nostrils, and the man became a living person.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭2:7‬ ‭NLT‬‬
You remember on thanksgiving when you see all the food being cooked and the ingredients on the counter and spices and seasoning out. You see the different things that you didn’t know went into your favorite dish there. Separate it looks like a lot but when you put it together. Mix it. Stir it. Bake it. Fry it. Broil it. And steam it. When you taste it it’s like God made it himself. Well, at least for me. Then you get your plate and even though you say you going to get a little of everything your plate still looks like an gill of delicious goodness.

HERE IT IS…

Now your FULL. Locked in a position on the couch for a couple of hours. I would like to suggest to you that you have been filled everyday with the breath of God. He fills you with his presence. We often times ask God to allow us to feel his presence when we should be asking God to FILL us with his presence. Truth be told when we fill Gods presence we should be locked in a position of worship. We should be locked in a position of thanksgiving to God. Not because the food, but because if it had not been for him filling us? We wouldn’t be able to do the things we do now. Don’t get FULL, get FILLED.

It’s coming

“neither wild plants nor grains were growing on the earth. For the Lord God had not yet sent rain to water the earth, and there were no people to cultivate the soil. Instead, springs came up from the ground and watered all the land.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭2:5-6‬ ‭NLT‬‬
After the earth took form God decided to make some food but didn’t have anyone to tend to the food. So he had to make man first. Then he made all the plants and food. Look right here in 5&6. It says that there were no plants or grain, so in my mind it was either dirt or just grass. While the earth was formed he filled it with something. Water! Because there was no one to keep the ground watered he decided to have springs come up from the bottom to water all the land.

HERE IT IS…

Something good can come out of your situation. Because right now you may be feeling like your just like the earth at the beginning. All formed and no where to go and nothing to do. A lot of times you may feel that way. You May think that way. The truth of the matter there is something on the inside of you that’s getting ready to spring up that no one else can take credit for. Your being watered right now. But Gods about to take something out of you and cultivate it and make it into something no one has ever seen before. Your filled just waiting to be cultivated. The amazing thing is I bet the earth was one of its most beautiful states before man touched it???

Filled

“Praise the Lord God, the God of Israel, who alone does such wonderful things. Praise his glorious name forever! Let the whole earth be filled with his glory. Amen and amen!”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭72:18-19‬ ‭NLT‬‬
I have always been the type of person to look at something mechanical and try to figure out how it works. If it has moving parts, I want to know what makes it move. If it has parts that stay still I want to know why and how. If it has parts that I can’t see I want to find a way to see it. It’s something about being able to understand how things work that excites me. I watched my moms new water filtration system that she has every time she used it from a far. But the only way I really was able to see was by getting close.

HERE IT IS…

I had never seen it. Never knew she had it but I had to find out. So I walked up to it and grabbed a cup and pushed the button. What I found is that it filters pushes the water around when filled to get the impurity’s out. I just need someone to know that God wants to fill your space because as the living water you will never thirst again. He is tryin to fill your space. Why? Because he alone is worthy. He alone deserves the praise. He alone is the one that rescues you. Anybody that wants to occupy your space no matter the circumstance, to make your circumstance better deserves some thanks. Thank him today.

What’s your fathers name

“Tell me about your father, young man,” Saul said. And David replied, “His name is Jesse, and we live in Bethlehem.”

1 Samuel 17:58 NLT
This is the part I celebrate about when I do something great. This scripture here tells us more about how great David was, than him receiving an award or anything else. He said to David “tell me about your father”. Saul wanted to know more about who taught David to be fearless and strong, rather than how he did what he did. It feels good to me when people tell me how good of a job I did, but what means the most is when people tell me my parents did a great job. Why? Because I brought them the glory of what I did and not just giving it to me. Okay maybe you didn’t get it yet. Saul said tell me about your father, after David conquered what nobody else could do. Out of all his soldiers and his brother, the strongest, oldest, and most sought after was on of them he wanted to know just who David’s father was. I would suggest to you that this was not just talking about David but you and I.

HERE IT IS…

OUT OF everything we have been through in our life our main priority should be to bring our father glory. I’m not talking Mr. Berry, but my father in heaven. See David had to tell Saul what his father’s name was and where he is from. It’s just a little suspicious that David’s fathers name is very close to another name, and he is from the very place this man was born. Y’all should get it by now. You should not want to do things to get the glory but to bring God the glory. David is from Bethlehem, Jesus is born in Bethlehem. David’s fathers name is Jesse, but when Jesus died for us he is known to be from David’s blood. The things you do reaches and goes past your physical blood line but is actually your spiritual blood line. The blood shed for you, the blood the washes you white as snow. Your representing God, and the things you do will bring people closer asking who is your father that gives you this power and favor…

Guiding light

“Your commandments give me understanding; no wonder I hate every false way of life. Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭119:104-105‬ ‭NLT‬‬
At some point in time we all need direction. We all need some help and a little push. Some times it can be more than a little push. Sometimes we need to be dragged away from stuff. Have you ever had a moment where it just hit you? I mean a moment like you came to your senses from being in a unwarranted coma and you just woke up? It’s amazing because reading Gods word will do that. This passage is not just talking about a physical light to shine in darkness so you can see where you going. It’s light that shines in your heart, mind and spirit.

HERE IT IS…

Sometimes your wake up call, doesn’t have to be you actually waking up. If we stay in his word we would be able to see things coming before they happen. A lot of stuff can be prevented if we follow his command. We can think we are so smart that we actually end up in a situation that makes us feel the opposite. All because we thought we had it. We knew what we were doing. Follow the lamp that’s at your finger tips. His word will guide you.

Guiding light

“The Lord says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭32:8‬ ‭NLT‬‬
I can Remember the kids first learned how to walk and they wanted to to walk everywhere. Remember when they would cry and whine to get down while you were holding them just so they could walk. And depending on where you were you would either keep them in your arms or you would let them walk. But when they walked you weren’t able to just let them go. Not in public, they could fall on anything. Somebody may not see them, then it’s a problem. Or they could tumble and cut themselves. With all this in our head. We put them down cautiously and guide them.

HERE IT IS…

God placed you where you are for a reason. My be new or may be familiar with different circumstances. It could be all the same but because of who you are now it’s different. See, I realize that God will places is in things that may look different, or familiar, or even something we already know and will guide us because he knows us. He knows we will venture off, that’s why he guides us. He knows you will see something you used to do, that’s why he guides us. You might miss something you missed before, that’s why he guides us. Be confident in knowing that he is always guiding you and your covered.

Eyes front

“No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead,”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭3:13‬ ‭NLT‬‬
I like this verse right here because of its truth. In verse 12 he says that he is striving and pushing for the perfection that Christ possessed FOR US. Then in this verse he is honest in saying that he hasn’t achieved it. As if that wasn’t profound enough. He says like he has figured the way to get it. He says “Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead,”. I am not sure if it hit you yet but just read that one more time. See it amazes me how often we don’t know our future but already try to compare it to our past.

HERE IT IS…

In order to move forward you have to MOVE. Couple weekends ago my sons were racing and one was in the lead and was closing in on the finish line and he did what many say is the wrong thing to do, he looked back and ended up losing. I see that is how we are through our life. We will either get to the starting blocks see who’s racing and never start. Or start the race and look back and slow down. Will it be hard? Yes! But if you keep pressing and keep your eyes forward he will show you the rest.

Troubled to move

Now the Spirit of the Lord had left Saul, and the Lord sent a tormenting spirit that filled him with depression and fear. Some of Saul’s servants said to him, “A tormenting spirit from God is troubling you.
And whenever the tormenting spirit from God troubled Saul, David would play the harp. Then Saul would feel better, and the tormenting spirit would go away.
1 Samuel 16:14‭-‬15‭, ‬23 NLT

Have you ever met someone or know of someone that just seems like they wake up on the wrong side of the bed everyday? It’s almost to say that their life is so bad that when they go to sleep they are troubled. When they wake up they are troubled. Life can’t be that bad, right? Well Saul is being tormented by God here in the scripture. God wouldn’t do that, right? It wasn’t that God was being mean to him but his disobedience to God is what caused it. Ever felt like no matter what you did you just couldn’t get peace?

HERE IT IS…

Look at the scripture.

And whenever the tormenting spirit from God troubled Saul, David would play the harp. Then Saul would feel better, and the tormenting spirit would go away.
1 Samuel 16:23 NLT

You may be the only way for people to realize that God is the only way to live peacefully. When Saul was troubled by God, he called David who was anointed by God, to have the spirit sent by God to go away.
Did you catch that?
Sometimes God will send trouble to person, then bring them to you, so you can show them the way back to God. Sometimes the very thing that is bothering you can only be removed by God. I encourage you to seek help if needed. I encourage you to talk to someone about it. I also encourage you to pray about it and read your bible. Your chosen, anointed, and designed for this. You May be troubled now but God has it under control.

Let me see your hands

“The righteous keep moving forward, and those with clean hands become stronger and stronger.”
‭‭Job‬ ‭17:9‬ ‭NLT‬‬
Have you ever had to make a decision to stay? Or to go? Have you ever had to make decision on rather to move or stay still. The one thing that kept you there in place. The one thing that kept you sitting in that same moment was something that will never go away. It’s called history! A lot of us have history with a lot of different things and some are fond memories and others are memories we wish we could get out our heads. History can help you, but you can also run right back into it. When it may seem like you got away from it your right back in it.

HERE IT IS…

I like this scripture because it makes you think a little differently. See we have all left something but did we let it go? We all have removed something from us. But did you let it go? We all have walked away from, or been walked away from? But did we let it go? That history lesson come into play here. That history comes and reminds us of different things we had and sometimes we have carried it with us so long, said we would not go back to that place that we end up doing it. All because we haven’t let it go? You can’t expect different if you still holding on to the past. Open your hands and let it go…

Change

“Because we have these promises, dear friends, let us cleanse ourselves from everything that can defile our body or spirit. And let us work toward complete holiness because we fear God.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭7:1‬ ‭NLT‬‬
“A bugs life”, another amazing and awesome animated movie. About a colony of ants where the Queen was old and her daughter was going to take over but they all lived in fear and thought it was okay. This one ant who they thought was the most clumsy and worst ant of all would be the one to save them all. By standing up and believing that if they stuck together they would be able to do more together than apart and not fear other bugs. When came back fulfilling his promise they had to change they way they did things.

HERE IT IS…

How can you expect God to keep blessing you with the promises he has for you, but you won’t move with the promises he has given you? There will be times you will have to let some stuff go. There will be times you have to release some stuff. There will be times that you will have to get up and change your ways, your thinking, your ways life. It’s because the promises of God will require sacrifice.
