Something good has to come out of it…

Do you know it takes years for a pearl to form in a oyster? In fact the pearl is not something that a oyster just does. In order for a pearl to form in a oyster it first has to get sick! In fact because of what the oyster eats it has a chance to get sick a lot. The oyster gets infected with a parasite through its shell, and once infected starts to cover the parasite in a liquid it produces. It keeps constantly covering this parasite and eventually gets to a point where the pearl is formed because over the years the liquid it releases keeps covering and enclosing this parasite until it has completely covered it and produces a pearl.

HERE IT IS…

In our life we can get infected with some stuff that God allowed to happen to us. I am reminded that the Bible says what was meant for evil God turned around for my good. Well if we keep that Thang covered with pray I’m crazy enough to believe that eventually something good has to come out of it. What do you have that you think has come and infected your life? I dare you to have the faith to stand and look at that thing and cover it in constant prayer and believe something good is going to come out of it. If God can create a oyster to create a liquid to cover a infection to produce something that we value so highly, what do you think he can do with your situation…

Coming Out

Just when you think you have reached your limit of stuff you can take. Shoulders tense mad and upset. Crying feeling defeated. Tired and wanting to throw in the towel. Something happens that pushes you closer to the edge, and at that point and only that point when you feel you are about to lose your mind hell is breaking loose and the ground feels like its crumbling beneath you. You realize that its not because of the stuff that’s happening or the hell that is around you nor is it the limit you have reached. ITS ACTUALLY GOD STRIPPING STUFF FROM YOU THAT YOU HAVE HAD A GRIP ON THAT HE WAS TRYING TO REMOVE FROM YOU ANYWAY. HE IS BREAKING THE GROUND BECAUSE YOU WOULDNT MOVE HE IS MAKING YOU CRY TO HUMAN YOU YOUR NOT LOSING YOUR MIND HE IS LOOSING YOUR MIND FROM EVERYTHING…

HERE IT IS…

It’s the past

“Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise.”

I don’t like getting angry, I don’t like me when I am angry so I know other people don’t. I used to be the dude who reacted and thought later, but after a couple of encounters with my dad, I learned to think first. What happens when we get angry is that we tend to push away from things and people. We assume the position of refusal instead of forgiveness. Does it happen right away? No, it doesn’t. But we can’t hold on to things either. We have to have enough love in our heart to be able to look pass the past. “It takes time, I need time, sometimes it’s not fair”. I hear you say, well I heard this from the opening of one of my favorite movies the lion King, “life’s not fair is it?”.

HERE IT IS…

What would have happen if Jesus said “life’s not fair”. What would happen if Jesus rethought all the things we did and kept bringing them up and kept throwing them in our faces, and refusing to intercede on your behalf to God? What if huh? Life wasn’t fair for him in fact he asked to let that cup pass from him, then realized that there is more good in you and I than what our sins deserve, “not my will, but thy will be done”. Think about this Jesus came for the world, not Christians, Jews, or churchy folk. THE WORLD.. which means he died for his haters too. The ones that persecuted him, some were saved on that day of his death.
So don’t be like that, because he wasnt…

Liberty

“Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭3‬:‭17‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Liberty : the state of being free within society from oppressive restrictions imposed by authority on one’s way of life, behavior, or political views.
Where is your liberty? What are you looking to be set free from? A lot of people think that being free means that you have to get rid of, be removed from, or stopping what is keeping you bound. However, I believe that you can be set free even in the midst of what you’re going through.

HERE IT IS…

We are not free from sin but we have the the capacity to not be charged with what our sins deserve. I’m in the midst of your sin you are being forgiven of it. Even in that bad relationship you can be free. Even in that situation you can be free. You don’t have to wait till it’s gone or you’re out of it to be free. Wherever God is there is liberty. Wherever you are God is there also. Wherever you are you can have liberty.

Won’t he do it

“And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭9‬:‭8‬ ‭NLT‬‬

You know one of the things I can’t stand is when your getting ready to cook and you get to a point where you ready to start putting everything together to prepare and realize you need something that you need for the meal to be complete. If you’re like me you start thinking about things that you can use to substitute for the things that you don’t have. You look all around the kitchen and you finally realize you have to go back out to get what you need. It’s not the fact that you don’t have it that’s so bad. It’s the fact you have to go back out to get it.

HERE IT IS…

Have you ever needed something or thought you needed something and God provided something in its place? Have you ever prepared something and thought you wouldn’t have enough? But some how what you had was more than enough. What you needed was provided. In fact what you had gave you the ability to bless someone else. God will provide ALL that you need but also he will press it down, shake it all up and make it run over. What you thought was not enough is actually what you need and more. He will provide.

Second wind

“But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.”

I was watching one of my favorite movie series on TV last night, Rocky. I would have to say that Rocky 3 and 4 are my favorite. Last night I was watching Rocky 3 and he was fighting Clubber Lang (Mr. T). I love the part in between the first and second fight when he trains with Apollo Creed. It wasn’t until he admitted he was afraid of losing everything that he got a new found strength, or Second wind.

HERE IT IS…

You have been doing good so far. You made it through another year. You have went through hell and high water. Now we are in a place where we tell ourselves that we don’t want to do that again. Well it’s time to train like you never trained before. It’s time to admit that you. We’re the problem last year, but you’re going to trust God this year. It’s time to get your second wind. So now you can learn how to soar like an eagle. You can run like you never have. You can walk and not faint. Your second wind is coming. Are you Ready?

Word and Flesh

“So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son.”

One of my favorite sci-fi movies is iRobot with Will Smith. It’s about these robots that were made to make the humans life easier. It obeyed every command. It was not allowed to kill anyone. It had a set of three laws that it could not deviate from or cancel out. But the system that was controlling the robots started to learn and found a way to go around the three laws and started to use it against the humans. Get this, the humans tried to make something they thought was good for them but what they made started to use what they learned against them.

HERE IT IS…

“The WORD became flesh…” I like that right there. It signifies that once again Gods sovereignty has been shown to us. I’m Genesis he spoke and it became. Light and dark. Moon and stars. Land and sea. Everything he said became what he said it would be. This says that he created a human from his word. Which already tells us he is above us because we came from the dirt. So who will you trust? The dirt or the very word of God?

Love one another

“Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.””
‭‭John‬ ‭13‬:‭35‬ ‭NLT‬‬

This morning on my way to work I was sitting at a stop light and noticed I was sitting there for a while. So I did what anyone else would do and starting looking for the line and signal the light I was there. After watching the other lights change I told myself that if it doesn’t change I’m going to go. I was the only one there at this time. Then other people came behind me and the light turned just as I made the decision I was going regardless. It wasn’t that I wasn’t being seen by the light it was the fact I had to wait for the people to be behind me in order to go.

HERE IT IS…

Sometimes God will bring you to a place that you need to be in or at but won’t allow you to move because where your going you are going to need some people behind you to help you go where he is leading you. Don’t rush God when he brings you to that place you need to be because it may be some stuff ahead that you will need some people to help you along the way. You can’t do it all by yourself, we all need help and a support system.
Those that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength…

I see you

The human eye can see a light from about 2-3 miles away on a clear day with unobstructed view. We can see stars that shine in the sky and they are thousands of miles away. The human eye is something (like the human body) that is a miracle in itself. How is it that we can see things that far away? How is it that we have the ability to view things from miles away flickering in the distance? Something as small as a candle can be seen from miles away.

HERE IT IS….

Cornea: The cornea is the clear outer part of the eye’s focusing system located at the front of the eye. Iris: The iris is the colored part of the eye that regulates the amount of light entering the eye. Lens: The lens is a clear part of the eye behind the iris that helps to focus light, or an image,on the retina. Focus your life on God like your eyes. God sees all and he is at the front like the Cornea. Jesus is what regulates the amount of stuff that has access to your eyes just like the Iris. The Holy Spirit is the Lens that focuses everything and puts it all together. Your light can be seen keep shining.

Signs and Wonders

There are some words that all of us don’t like to hear when we are trying to prove ourselves right. I TOLD YOU, or I KNEW IT. These words mean that we were wrong in those context. We just don’t like to hear them because that means we were wrong and that what we thought to be right wasn’t. Often times we fail to listen when there is someone else that had wisdom or a inside knowing of what’s about to happen. God sometimes sends people in to our life to let us know the issues or what’s ahead to prepare us for it, and to even alert us of dangerous ahead. Often times we don’t want to listen, but we have to be able to discern who it is telling us and be able to yield to the warning. I love this time of year because this passage in Isaiah speaks volumes.

All right then, the Lord himself will give you the sign. Look! The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son and will call him Immanuel (which means ‘God is with us’).
Isaiah 7:14 NLT

HERE IT IS…

Just the A portion of this scripture grabs my attention. He says the Lord himself will give you a sign. We cannot ignore the signs that God sends us. He does not do things just to do it, there is always a reason and a purpose. He is telling them that the Lord is coming in the form of a baby. He is coming to save, heal and redeem. Don’t ignore the signs, because even now there are signs that he is coming again. The Lord himself will give us a sign. It’s time that we stop playing church and religion because it makes us look good in the eyes of man and get our relationship right with God. The Lord himself will give you a sign.
