Heavens best

““Don’t store up treasures here on earth, where moths eat them and rust destroys them, and where thieves break in and steal. Store your treasures in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy, and thieves do not break in and steal.”

Savings! IRAs! 401K! Different things like this to set yourself up for retirement and to have money saved away when you get older. The truth is no one wants to die broke. Leaving that burden on other people to take care of. Bills and payments and mortgages. All waiting for the person who takes care of your finances. But what are you taking with you.l? What can you use in a place that has no ATMs? What good will your deeds do you in a place you already own a spot in?

HERE IT IS…

Everything you have now, your car your house your phone your boat your money your accounts all will be passed on just as if you had a Job and quit. But what you have in heaven is worth more than you have here. You can’t take it with you it won’t die with you. Focus on your treasures in heaven. Truth is God gave you what you have here. But what he has stored up for you in heaven is greater.

Rewarding

““And when you fast, don’t make it obvious, as the hypocrites do, for they try to look miserable and disheveled so people will admire them for their fasting. I tell you the truth, that is the only reward they will ever get. But when you fast, comb your hair and wash your face. Then no one will notice that you are fasting, except your Father, who knows what you do in private. And your Father, who sees everything, will reward you.”

Do you have to tell everyone what your doing all the time? Sometimes we get so excited about what we are doing that we feel we have to tell everyone because of the excitement. Then there are those times we tell others what we are doing because we want someone to say something. Either congratulate us or feel sorry for you and help you to do something. We say we are telling our testimony but in reality we are asking and looking for validation.

HERE IT IS…

Do what you are doing for God and not for people’s responses. What your doing is not to please people. It’s not to get the validation from people. We have no heaven or hell to put anyone in. Instead, your focus should always and only be on God. He is the one who can reward you. Don’t look like you are hurting or falling apart. It is in this time of fasting that you should be looking your best. Because what God is about to do in reward for your faithfulness will make you look better and feel better than you ever have.

Experience

“I want to know Christ and experience the mighty power that raised him from the dead. I want to suffer with him, sharing in his death, so that one way or another I will experience the resurrection from the dead!”

I have always wanted to go skydiving. I know people are wondering why I would want to jump from a perfectly good airplane. But it’s the experience that is thrilling. Growing up as a daredevil I have always wanted to experience being in the air and just looking over the earth and descending to it. The thrill. The rush. The feeling of the air. Everyone that has done it says that it is a mind changing experience.

HERE IT IS…

What do you want to experience from knowing Christ? We all have things we would like to experience with God. We all have things we have experienced here on earth. But, to be able to experience life with him in heaven forever is an experience that I want to have. Not for the rush. Not for the thrill because once the experience is over it’s gone. But to have the joy of knowing that I have served and made him proud enough that he allows me to live with him forever. Get to a place that you experience him on earth that will give you the entrance to experience life after death with him.

Gods purpose for you

“The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.”

Have you ever felt the pull of God in you to do something? Meaning, that it was undeniable and you knew that your purpose was to do something. Whether it was to bless Simone or to help someone or to go somewhere? This call and purpose is to have you move the way God called you too. When God calls you it’s to help glorify and enlarge the kingdoms of God. A lot of times we have a hard time to do it the way God tells us to do.

HERE IT IS…

What’s your purpose? Even satan has a purpose which is to steal and kill and destroy. God’s purpose is to give you a rich and satisfying life. Within God’s purpose is your purpose. Your purpose should fall in line with God’s. What does God give you as your purpose. What has God given you to do and to fulfill? We are called to fulfill Gods purpose for our life and others. To touch someone. To help someone. To push someone to be better. Fulfill Gods purpose and you will fulfill your life’s purpose.

He is with you

“For the Lord your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.””

I remember in college on the campus of the great Chicago State University I was walking to class and I kept hearing my name being called. Walking to my physics class I’m by myself and it was a night class so I’m alone I hear my name being called over and over. Well I got to class and 5 mins later a friend of mine walked in the class and he said “ you didn’t hear me calling you?” I said I did but I didn’t see anyone. I told him I was getting worried. He said “no man just me I had your back”.

HERE IT IS…

He is with you every where you go and no matter where you go he is there. The great thing about this is that while he is here with us he will make sure that we are not afraid of anything. Calm our fears. Rejoice in us and make us who he would have us to be. It’s hard to feel like you have someone with you when your facing things all alone. He is here with us and we have nothing to fear.

Zero tolerance

“Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t he also give us everything else?”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭8:32‬ ‭NLT‬‬
Zero tolerance is what the schools use when it comes to students fighting. Meaning that no matter what, or who started it both students will have consequences for fighting. No matter the situation. No matter the issue. No matter who swung first. Both students will have consequences. As a parent I don’t like this tule because I teach my kids not to START fights as my father taught us. However, they do know not to allow anyone to hit them. As I look at this in a spiritual sentiment I see that God has the same zero tolerance rule.

HERE IT IS…

If he was willing to give his son for our sins? If he was willing to sacrifice his only son for the life of you and I? If he decided to give us a second chance through the shedding of his son? What makes you different? We have to go through our own test and trials. We all have to face difficult times. If God is willing to give his son over for us, but then raise him to himself to live in eternity with him? What makes you think he won’t do the same for you. Yeah it’s hard. Yeah we may struggle. We may have to face heart ache. But the same God who raised his son to eternal glory will do the same for us.

Wake up

“And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

There was a man who woke up from his coma of 8 years with no one around. The doctors said to his wife that iIF he woke up he wouldn’t remember anything or anyone. His children were now all grown. His wife had went through the process of divorcing him and moving on with her life. To the surprise of everyone he woke up with full memories even better than before. He woke up looking for his wife and his family. He woke up with full strength and mental capacity. Looking for his family he saw no one around.

HERE IT IS…

Sometimes we can be in a spiritual coma to where we may be gone from God for so long that when we wake up when know exactly where to go. We wake up with the full capacity of our spiritual gifts. We wake up looking for everything that we remember about God. Unlike the wife when we wake up God is still there. When we wake up he is by our side. When we wake up he gives us the full capacity of our spiritual strength. We don’t have to go looking for God because nothing can keep us. Separate us. Divorce us. That will keep us from him.

Pain for greatness

“It will be like a woman suffering the pains of labor. When her child is born, her anguish gives way to joy because she has brought a new baby into the world. So you have sorrow now, but I will see you again; then you will rejoice, and no one can rob you of that joy.”
‭‭John‬ ‭16:21-22‬ ‭NLT‬‬
I can remember when my twins were born and watching as their mother was in so much pain from the contractions. Watching from a distance wishing I could take the pain away. Wishing that I could make her comfortable until they were born. Watching from a distance and seeing someone in pain is a hard thing to do. Knowing that there is nothing you can do to help them because it’s something they have to go through. Because after the pain is joy and relief.

HERE IT IS…

How do you think God felt watching his son die. Being beaten. Being stripped. Being thrown. Bleeding. Pierced in his side. Seeing the blood and water come out. Crucified and then buried. To turn around and see us do what we do. But yet his love carries us. Yet his grace blesses us. His mercy covers us. Even though your going through the pain now you will birth forward something that will not only bless you but others around you. Keep pushing. Keep breathing. Keep going because it’s almost here.

Peace

“Jesus asked, “Do you finally believe? But the time is coming—indeed it’s here now—when you will be scattered, each one going his own way, leaving me alone. Yet I am not alone because the Father is with me. I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.””
‭‭John‬ ‭16:31-33‬ ‭NLT‬‬
Don’t you get tired of going through the issues and problems of the day? Don’t you get tired of feeling like you are in the same loop over and over again? Don’t you get sick and tired of being sick and tired? Having to fight at home? At work? Money issues? Kids acting up? All these things that happen here on earth. It’s almost that you have no where to go to have any release.

HERE IT IS…

“I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. “ Jesus came for us to have peace. The things of this world can be hard, can be confusing, can be troublesome. But to be in God and in his son Jesus is to have peace. Even those these things of the world are all around you. There is one greater that has come and defeated the world. Trust in God and in his word and find peace that surpasses all understanding.

The Lord is for you

“The Lord is for me, so I will have no fear. What can mere people do to me? Yes, the Lord is for me; he will help me. I will look in triumph at those who hate me.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭118:6-7‬ ‭NLT‬‬
Hate! A very strong word that describes and purposefully points out a disdain and utter dislike for something. I would be foolish to say that there is no one that actually uses that word and means it. But the truth of the matter is that there are people who do use it and mean it. But even though they hate you or feel some type of way to you you always have the ability to overcome. You have the ability to see the victory in the end. Your ending will not look as they wish.

HERE IT IS…

“The Lord is for me” that statement alone is the only thing you need to tell someone that hates on you. Whenever they try you. The Lord is for me. When they try to plan your demise l, the Lord is for me. When they try to over look you and you were not selected, the Lord is for me. The truth of the matter is that no matter what they try to do, say, plan, or force you to do we have to remember that it’s the Lord who will fight for you and use everything that they try and turn it around for your good.
