Wait

“I waited patiently for the LORD; And he inclined unto me, and heard my cry. He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, And set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.”
‭‭Psalm‬ ‭40:1-2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Ok ok I know the song says that “ he may not come when you want him but he’ll be there right in time…” Have you ever had to wait in God? Have you ever been in a situation and God didn’t give you a yes, he didn’t give you a no. Matter of fact God didn’t say anything. Almost seems like every move you made was blocked and you just had to sit there. In the mess. In the pit. In the clay and just wait on God.

HERE IT IS…

Honestly, waiting on God is not bad it just seems that way because of our impatience and our wanting to get out. Truth is even when you were in the situation you had everything you needed. Even being in the clay you could only move so far. Yet he still heard you. He still covered you. He still provided away out. You just had to wait a little bit. If your waiting for God to move. Stop trying to make him move and just wait on him and give him what he deserves even where you are.

He is there

“A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, Is God in his holy habitation.”
‭‭Psalm‬ ‭68:5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

One of most darkest times that I have ever had I felt so alone. I felt that I couldn’t be this crazy or dumb to go through this. Having my family in my life was a blessing and they helped me in every way that they could. Having friends to be there for me to be a sounding board was awesome. But, there was still something missing. I felt like I had all that I could but still felt alone. Then I realized that I felt that way because I was not allowing the one who knows me best in. Whatever the reason I was not allowing him to handle it.

HERE IT IS…

I had to realize that He was what was missing. God was the one that could make it better and he was standing outside the door waiting for me to open it. I had to allow him to be who I heard, read, and knew him to be. God, father to the fatherless. God, mother to the motherless. God, able to comfort the widows. God, friend to the friendless. God, the keeper of my soul. God is waiting on you and won’t leave until you allow him in. He may knock to let you know he is still there. Peak in the windows so you can see his face. But will not force his way in. He is waiting.

His plans

“Commit your actions to the Lord, and your plans will succeed.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭16:3‬ ‭NLT‬‬

As we were going through the process of purchasing our first home I had all these things that I wanted to have in the house already. The process became frustrating because it was like nothing had everything that I wanted. The kitchen was to small. The backyard wasn’t big enough. The rooms were not big enough. Down to details I was looking. It wasn’t until we asked God to direct us to what he had for us that we found the house that we purchased. Truthfully speaking I am finding more and more things that shows me this is the house God had for us.

HERE IT IS…

Many times WE make a plan and don’t even give God the opportunity to have a say. It seems like sometimes God will allow you to have it or see it to show you that wasn’t it. Once you give God your plans he will tell you either no completely or show you what he already has for you. Your plan can sound full proof but it’s not until you give it to Him that it becomes God proof. Once you do that nothing will be able to stop it.

Momentum

“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; And lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, And he shall direct thy paths.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭3:5-6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Have you ever had to lean to get something and almost or have fallen over? If you think about it, when you lean most of your body weight is on that side that your leaning towards. So when your body weight is leaning that direction there is a force that happens that is uncontrollable called momentum. Once our momentum has started it carries us in that direction. The bad part about momentum is that when it is started it is hard to stop.

HERE IT IS…

Who’s h direction is your momentum carrying you? Are leaning towards God or are you leaning to your own thoughts? We can say we just want to see what happens but then our momentum takes us further than we wanted to go. Our momentum carries us over to people, places, and things that we never intended or expected to go. But, if you trust God with everything that’s with in you your momentum will carry you to people, places, and things that you never thought you would see on your own.

Honeycomb

“Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, Sweet to the soul, and health to the bones.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭16:24‬ ‭KJV‬‬

I have watched many videos on how bees make honey and how people harvest it. Unbeknownst to me the honeycomb is actually eatable. Yes the part that holds the honey is what gives the honey it’s sweetness and is called the sweetest part. It’s hard to fathom that an insect like a honey bee is able to make the honey and honeycomb to be something so sweet.

HERE IT IS…

What comes out of your mouth should be as the honeycomb. Now in now way and I saying that you should allow people to talk to you any type of way and you just take it. However, the words that come from your lips should have the same spirit that God has when he speaks of you. God never called you dumb for the mistakes that you made even though they weren’t smart. Gid never insulted you for what you have done even when it wasn’t the best idea. Use what God has given us to help others. Words can do more damage than actions.

Tomorrow?!

“Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭6:34‬ ‭KJV‬‬

In the first movie Croods, there was a boy named guy. Guy was a visionary and a person that was going to tomorrow. He was following the sun to get to tomorrow. The family he was taking had learned how to only survive the day they were in. While guy was so focused on tomorrow he was missing the things of today.

HERE IT IS…

We don’t know what tomorrow holds and truth is we don’t know if we will see tomorrow. Do what you can for today. Enjoy today. Do it today. Go today. It’s not guaranteed that you will see tomorrow and really tomorrow may have its own issues. Take today and follow the Son so that your tomorrow will be good whether here on earth or with the Son.

May his face shine upon you

“For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, And his ears are open unto their prayers: But the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.”
‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭3:12‬ ‭KJV‬‬

I always marvel at how the anatomy of the human body has been constructed. The muscles all connect together some how. How the bones are connected. The ears and mouth and nose are all connected together. Since the ears mouth and nose are all connected it’s amazing how the voice of God, can affect all of those. From his voice coming into our ears affects the rest of the body. That’s why it is so important to be careful what you listen to.

HERE IT IS…

Gods sees us in such of a way that no one else can. He shows his love by speaking and hearing us. It is when we are not connected to him that we have trouble. The scripture notes the detail of the different parts of God is directed to us. But when it is the thought of wickedness his whole face is turned up. I pray that face shines upon you and not turned away from you.

Reset

Since you have been raised to new life with Christ, set your sights on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits in the place of honor at God’s right hand.
You used to do these things when your life was still part of this world. But now is the time to get rid of anger, rage, malicious behavior, slander, and dirty language.
Colossians 3:1‭, ‬7‭-‬8 NLT

When I was a kid and the video games was just getting big and becoming more and more apart of the world, they installed a button to help with issues. When the game would freeze, or the game would not start right. Or even when it was caught in a loop and wouldn’t start properly. This button would make that start fresh. It was called the reset button. The reset button was the button that would clear all the issues and problems of the game. With Nintendo I know sometimes we would have to take that cartridge out and blow on it real hard to remove the dust from it and then start the game.

HERE IT IS…

Since the new games have come out, you don’t have to do all those things. You don’t have to hit a reset button. Nor do you have to blow on the game. Now that the games can be downloaded to the system, there is no reason to go and buy the actual game. Since we ha e become a new creature in Christ. We don’t have to, nor should we still try to do the things of old. Now that we ha e hit the rest button of life, by giving our life to Christ, we don’t need to keep doing the things of old. Now we can set our sights on him. Thinking of the things of heaven and not of earth. Don’t get me wrong, sometimes it may feel like life is stuck, or that the life is caught in a loop. The fact of the matter is that now we can come to Christ, let him blow on us and dust us off, download his word and directions to us, so that we don’t have to keep doing the same things we used to do. Upgrade your life to christ.

Looking

“And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.”
‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭29:13‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Trying to find God came sometimes feel like we are always looking in the wrong places. Kind of like trying to find your phone for 20 minutes and the whole time it was in your pocket or hand. Or trying to find your keys and the whole time they were in a place that you looked in or at multiple times. Almost as if while you were looking someone put them there when you left the area and when you came back they were there.

HERE IT IS…

This verse tells us that no matter what we will find him when we look for him but it has to be with your WHOLE heart. When you look for your phone and it was in your pocket you didn’t feel it. When you looked for your keys and found them they were right in front of you. It wasn’t just Neil you cleared your mind and stopped worrying about other things that you found it. Clear your heart and mind and spirit and look for God and when you find him everything else he will take care of.

Religion vs. relationship

“If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man’s religion is vain. Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.”
‭‭James‬ ‭1:26-27‬ ‭KJV‬‬

I use to think that my religion was my relationship. I use to think because I read the Bible and knew a few scriptures by memory that I was doing something religious and that covered me. I use to think that because I prayed some times that I was a religious person. Until I had a true encounter with God and realized that my religion is just a title. My religion was a label. I had to have a relationship with God.

HERE IT IS…

A true relationship with God is pass the thought of religion. There are still people who are very religious but there relationship lacks with God. We must not forget that Satan knows the word too and try’s to use it against us. But when you have a relationship with God you know that it takes more than just a few minutes a week in prayer. It takes more than just praying over your food. It’s more than singing a few songs. Your relationship changes the way you move, speak, hear and see things. Change from religious to relationship with God.
