Unmovable Faith

“But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭11‬:‭6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

I heard a preacher say that we have such an imagination that we believe that all the fairy tales are true when we’re young. But not taught all about Jesus because we are to young. We are told that we will understand things better when we are older. When we get older we wish that we understood those things when we were younger. We have the ability that and told as a child we can fly. As adults have trouble getting to the runway to take off in life.

HERE IT IS…

If your told as a child and at a young age that if you believe it you can do it. If you want to fly you can. But never told as a child that in order to come to God you need the same belief. You need the same confidence. You need the same level of trust in God when you come to him. We are taught to just pray and and God will do it. Without faith it is impossible to please God. “But God hears a sinners prayer!” But that sinner is in a place of humility and grace. We don’t have to wait to get to a place like that to believe and have faith in what he can do. Have faith when you come to him!

Keep that same energy

“rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭13‬:‭6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

I am one of those sports fans that will stand in front of the TV the whole 3 hours for a football or basketball game. When my teams lose or win, I am so passionate about my teams that I almost feel like I am there. I yell and scream and bad plays and mistakes. I yell and scream when we score and do something good. I have that much energy and love for the game and the teams I love that it’s almost impossible to get me to calm down or pay attention to anything else.

HERE IT IS…

Your passion may not be sports. It may be a TV show. It may be a book. It may be something else but what happens if we rejoice when God wins the way we do when our team scores. Or when the good part comes up in that show. What if our victory dance also becomes our praise when God wins. I’m not talking about something big. Celebrate when you wake up. When you made it home. When your kids wake up and make it home. Make your praise just as and more emphatic for God as you do for other things.

Sheep and wolves

“Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭10‬:‭16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Think about this for a second. The scripture says that God sends you “as sheep in the midst of of wolves:”. It seems as if God is sending you into a war zone with no weapons for yourself. You personally have no defense to protect yourself. You are seemingly vulnerable and susceptible to any and everything that happens. Truthfully speaking it feels that way sometimes. It’s cold out there in the world by yourself. No one to depend on. No one to talk to. No one to help you.

HERE IT IS…

“But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak. For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭10‬:‭19‬-‭20‬ ‭KJV‬‬
Sometimes the best thing that you can do is be quiet. Look weak. Look alone. Because that’s when God shows up and does everything for you and you don’t have to do or say anything. It’s not you that speaks, but the Holy Spirit.

God is there!!!

“Disciples so often get into trouble; still, God is there every time.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭34‬:‭19‬ ‭MSG‬‬

Even Superman has kryptonite! Trust me when I tell you that as a follower of Christ you will have some things that come up in your life. You will have things that come from your past. You will have things come from your present. And you will have things that happen in your present that become issues in your future. All of these things that will happen are a things that will happen. Just as well as this is all true the statement that comes after that is also true.

HERE IT IS…

GOD IS THERE EVERY TIME! No matter how you got there he is there. No matter what your got into he is there! No matter who you’re there with he is there! No matter how long you have been there he is there! Don’t feel bad about your problems. Don’t feel ashamed and if anyone tries to make you feel ashamed know that they were once there in some capacity. But just how he rescued them, he will rescue you. Because GOD IS THERE EVERY TIME! Even Superman has kryptonite!

I love the Marvel movies and one in particular is the Avengers: Endgame. The final battle is my favorite because there was so much happening in those scenes. One thing in particular is when all the other hero’s were snapped back and able to come to help the others but the way it happen was by Sam Wilson comes over the ear piece to Captain America and says “On your left”. Which for Captain American signifies that help is on the way.

HERE IT IS…

You may be battling somethings right now. There may be some things that are bothering you. You may have to make some major decisions. You might even be battling yourself in your own thoughts. Even in your battle when you feel your weakest. When you feel you have nothing left. All you have to do is listen for his voice because he is coming to rescue you. He is coming to help you. He is coming to strengthen you. 🎶 And for this I give you praise…

Attitude

“Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭6‬:‭33‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Don’t seek the attention with an attitude …
Pay attention to your attitude…

I am a big person on people that seek out attention. I don’t like and don’t care for it, nor do I condone it either. I do, however, understand that some people have a missed out on receiving the attention they needed in order to gain the confidence in their selves. What I try to tell my kids, is that when you seek attention you will find it, but more than likely it will be more or cause more issues than you thought. It’s better to pay attention to your attitude and let that be your ticket.

HERE IT IS…

Seek and yes shall find, knock and the door will be opened.
Can I suggest to you that sometimes we may knock or seek something for so long that when God finally releases that thing we realize that’s what he was trying to keep from us. When you go looking for stuff be prepared of what you might find. Don’t seek attention with a attitude like someone is supposed to give it to you. Instead pay attention, love, search, know, develop yourself. The rest will come…

Reciprocating

“Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.”
‭‭1 John‬ ‭4‬:‭11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Reciprocity : the practice of exchanging things with others for mutual benefit, especially privileges granted by one country or organization to another.
What do you exchange with God? Really think about it! What do you exchange with God for what he has done? Do you follow him closely? Do you move and go and stop when he says to move and go and stop? Do you give him what he ask you to give. Do you read his word faithfully? God gives us so much yet our reciprocity needs some work.

HERE IT IS…

If God loved us so much, has done so much. Has provided so much. If he has helped you. Covered you. Healed you. Delivered you. Strengthen you. Why is it so hard to reciprocate back to him? He is not supposed to do it just because he is God. But, it is done out of love. So every chance you get you should reciprocate what he has given to you. Can you beat Gods giving? Absolutely not! However, you can give him the pleasure of knowing that he didn’t do it in vain. It’s time to reciprocate with what you have because he is the one who gave it to you!

Likeminded

“Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus:”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭15‬:‭5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Have you ever had to continually have to work with someone that you can’t get along with? Ever had to grit your teeth and smile and hold your tongue because you’re around someone that you want to say something to but it wasn’t the right time or place? It’s hard but it can be for a reason. We are to go to our brother or sister if we have a problem with them and not hold it in. However, we are also to do things the right way.

HERE IT IS…

We are to live in harmony with each other. That doesn’t mean we will always agree or be best of friends but we are to love our neighbors as ourselves. Which does not give you the right to say and speak your mind when and where you feel like it. Take in account that you don’t know what other people are going through and are affected by. Talk live and love others with the likemindedness of Christ.

Discipline is good for you

“Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭12‬:‭11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

I am one of those people who look back over my life and say that I got away with a lot. I have told my parents that I wish they were more strict with me when I messed up. I know that the circumstances were different and a lot of things that I did wrong was not given the proper treatment. I was not a bad kid I just took advantage of the situation. I know that the discipline would have hurt but it would have changed my thinking about things.

HERE IT IS…

Your discipline that comes with things you have done are not to be mean or to demean you but to help you to understand what could have happened if you were allowed to go through with it. Discipline is something we all need so that we can know even in adulthood that the consequences of our actions could be worse if it was not stopped. Truth is a lot of us are being disciplined for the things we did and didn’t learn from in our childhood. Obedience is better than sacrifice!

Face it

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.”
‭‭John‬ ‭5‬:‭24‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Today at work I had the opportunity to do this job and as I was doing it I was trying to find a position where I could do it and try not to have all the dust come down on me. My problem was that I had to reach way up and grab stuff and pull it down. As I am trying to do it from the side I had to keep moving and repositioning myself in order to get more. When I realized that I could get this done a lot faster and easier if I sat down on my butt and FACED IT… I was able to use both hands reach to places I couldn’t otherwise, and finished quicker than I would have all because I faced it…

HERE IT IS…

If you stop trying to go around it, and stop trying to do it from the side, or trying to not get involved or trying to handle it with half of the resources and just FACE IT, it can be over and done with a lot faster.
We try to do some stuff to prevent from getting to involved and the problem ends up dragging itself out.
Stop wasting time, FACE IT
stop avoiding it, FACE IT
stop not talking about it, FACE IT
