NOW!!!

“Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,”

Have you seen this J. G Wentworth commercials where they say “it’s my money, and I need it now!” Commercials? They are singing and dancing and yelling and screaming saying that line over and over again? They are adamant about getting their money now. They want to have unrestricted access to what is claimed to be theirs. Not only that but they need and want it now. Not later but now. What do you need access to God for? What do you need him to remove, change, turn around, flip right side up in your life that has been seemingly restricted from you

HERE IT IS…

NOW! That’s it that’s all I want to focus on in this verse is NOW! Everything else completes what you need, I need God and I need him NOW! I am having trouble and I need him NOW! I am about to lose my mind so I need God NOW! He doesn’t make you wait or have to go to J. G. Wentworth, but God is available NOW! All you have to do is call his name. Why? Because “unto him” the one who can blow your mind. The one who can strengthen you. The one who can heal you. The one who talks and walks with you. The one who can do more than you ever could with what you got. NOW! Is the time. NOW is the place. NOW is the when. Do it NOW!

You thought I was worth saving

“For I hold you by your right hand— I, the Lord your God. And I say to you, ‘Don’t be afraid. I am here to help you. Though you are a lowly worm, O Jacob, don’t be afraid, people of Israel, for I will help you. I am the Lord, your Redeemer. I am the Holy One of Israel.’”

Every morning I wake up I open my eyes and I say thank you. It has become a habit that I believe I do it in my sleep. I do it because when think back over my life I see where he held me up. I see where it wasn’t me that stopped me but it was God. Even though I don’t deserve it he still sees fit to extend his right hand to me to give me grace and mercy. Truth is none of us deserve it but because of who he is, he sees fit that we are covered and protected.

HERE IT IS…

Because of who he is, covers everything you have done. You don’t deserve it. I don’t deserve it. None of us do but because he sees fit and has a plan for us all he holds us up with his right hand. What I love about it is that he always gives you peace about it by telling you not to be afraid. Why don’t I have to be afraid? He’s my redeemer. He is my God. He is my sustainer. He is my rock in a weary land. Don’t worry Gods got you.

Chosen

“I have called you back from the ends of the earth, saying, ‘You are my servant.’ For I have chosen you and will not throw you away.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭41:9‬ ‭NLT‬‬
I can remember to this day what made me want to become a better athlete. 5th grade, I was short and chubby but was athletic. Begging my mom to play football and she wouldn’t let me. We were outside for gym class and about to play kickball. While the captains were choosing people I was one of the last people they chose and it was between me and a guy name Brian. I can remember that feeling of becoming the guy no one wanted on their team. I remember what it felt like to be picked last. I remember the feeling it was to have people scoff at picking you.

HERE IT IS…

In this life we live and are going through sometimes at work or even at home. At church or at school. Dating or not, it can feel as if your being overlooked. Passed over and no one really sees you for what you can bring and do without being used. Isaiah declares that God has chosen you. God has picked YOU. It’s your time because you have been chosen by the one true captain. The one who controls everything. So don’t get mad because you might see those people again that looked past you. Looked over you. Dismissed you. You won’t have to say anything because your captain has now put you in a place that he speaks for you. Your chosen NOW.

He’s coming

“Yes, the Sovereign Lord is coming in power. He will rule with a powerful arm. See, he brings his reward with him as he comes.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭40:10‬ ‭NLT‬‬
It has been a long time custom to bring something when you are invited over to someone’s house for a get together. Most of the times in the movies we see bottles of wine or champagne being brought over. In other movies we see dishes of food being brought over. Even as a young man I was taught when dating to bring flowers when you are picking up a young lady. Now it’s not so much of a custom anymore. Things have changed with the times. We have allowed society to change a lot of things for us in this day and time. Where my generation is the last of a dying breed of what “old school” is.

HERE IT IS…

Are you ready? Because when Tom he lord comes by he is coming quick. Are you ready? Because when he comes he has rewards in hand? Are you ready? When he comes he is not staying long but he is picking those up that he needs and carrying them on. Are you ready? No man knows the day or the hour but we have to make sure that we are ready. We have to make sure that we are not looking to stay to make sure everyone else is ready. That we can take people with us. You have to be ready. You have to be in a place that you know when he comes that you are ready when he comes. Because he is bringing the rewards with him.

Mad at the wrong person

“David was angry because the Lord’s anger had burst out against Uzzah. He named that place Perez-uzzah (which means “to burst out against Uzzah”), as it is still called today.”
‭‭2 Samuel‬ ‭6:8‬ ‭NLT‬‬
You ever felt like this? Like David in this text? Like you were so mad with God you wanted answers? You wanted to see his face to confront God? You want to look him in his eyes and ask him man to man, Why? Wanted to fight or wanted to tussle with God? I would believe that David felt this way. I can believe after watching his friend die that he wanted to do all these things and more. He was carrying the presence of God and he didn’t even want to be around God at this time. He basically gave the presence of God to someone else as if to discard him like something he purchased. He seemingly was done with God. Have you ever been done with God?

HERE IT IS…

What we fail to realize sometimes is that God is not our own personal genie. He does not only give us the good stuff and grant wishes. Truth of the matter is I believe that is why some of us go through some of the things we do. God sometimes has to remind us who we are. He also has to remind us that the same way we can’t out give him.l, we can’t out last him. We can’t and don’t want to fight with him. He sometimes has to show us just how powerful he is. Some of us are David in this text. Some of us try to be Uzzah and “save” God from our circumstances. We try to keep God from coming into our mess, forgetting that he already sees everything we do. Then have the audacity to get mad with him. Don’t be done with God, because he should have left us along time ago.

He knows

“This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same testings we do, yet he did not sin.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭4:15‬ ‭NLT‬‬
You don’t know my story. That’s what we tell people at times when we talk about our lives. What we have been through. The different things we have endured. From growing up poor. To having to leave school to go work to help take care of the house. We have our own stories of abandonment and disregard. Stories of how convoluted our lives are and many still are. It’s tough to expect pain just all the details of how our lives has had us on the mountain too, and even lower than the valley. You don’t know my story! Seen what I have seen. Endured what I have had to endure.

HERE IT IS…

You mean like being born poor and no where to stay. Having people not want to be around you because you different. Escaping deaths hand day after day. Not being understood that your daddy is not really your daddy. Almost being murdered as a baby. Having the gift to be able to teach others without going to school. Or how about denying myself if things that probably looked fun but because of who I am I had to deny myself. Having to always be about my fathers business. Being met by the worst gangsta ever who promised me the whole world if only I kneeled at his feet. Having to feel everyone else’s pain on top of my own. Or knowing that your life is coming to an end and having to explain that to your friends. Your life is hard. You have been through a lot. So has the one who saved you.

In ALL

“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭3:5-6‬ ‭KJV‬‬
Read that scripture again. Okay now do it one more time. That’s exactly what I had to do when God revealed this. Throughout the Bible there are verses that say in all we do to do it for, to, ways, etc. as to say that no matter what it is do it for God. The Bible also says that no matter where you are there he is also, in heaven or hell. Then the Bible tells us that what the enemy meant for evil, he will use it for our good. Well Rev. what are you trying to say? If you trust in him with all your heart and stop there your okay, but as I read on it gets personal for me.

HERE IT IS…

In ALL thy ways. Okay one more time. In ALL thy ways. See he doesn’t just say when your doing good or in a good place. When your in that depressive state acknowledge him. When your tired and sick. Acknowledge him. When your sick and tired. Acknowledge him. When your somewhere your not supposed to be. With Simone you not supposed to be with. When your hurt. Depleted. Misunderstood and used and abused. Acknowledge him. Why? No matter where you are he will come get you and direct you out of it. Read it again. See it yet? No matter where you are just acknowledge his presence and he will direct you to the nearest exit.

Why?

“And we are confident that he hears us whenever we ask for anything that pleases him. And since we know he hears us when we make our requests, we also know that he will give us what we ask for.”
‭‭1 John‬ ‭5:14-15‬ ‭NLT‬‬
“How could you be so stupid?” “How could you allow something like this to happen?” “What is wrong with you?” Questions we have asked ourselves in our private time or around people we can be vulnerable with. When asking those questions to yourself, what answers did you come up with? What did you hear as an answer? When you wondered your yourself, “How did I get here?” Or “When will you stop doing this?” What did you do to stop the same thing happening and getting out of where you were?

HERE IT IS…

When we call he answers. That’s what my bible says. It tells me that if I ask in his name that it will be given. If I call in him that he will provide for me. The list of promises are long and never broken. The problem is not God breaking his promises, but us breaking ours. We can be so quick to throw people away because they are not a person of they’re word. Really? Meanwhile God is wondering what happen to that “if you get me out of this one” promise we made. Call on God and allow him to take control of your life, your situation, your mind, your heart, and watch how things change.

What you worried about?
Why do you worry about what’s going to happen? I tell the kids all the time that stuff is going to happen whether you want it to or not. The ability to take it and keep moving is within your relationship with God.
When things come and trials show up do you fall? When it rears its ugly head do you crumble to pieces? It’s okay to get mad and upset, but, now what? Now what do you have to do? Now where do you go from here?

HERE IT IS…

Jesus said that he was explaining what was going to happen to him not in figurative speech. He was talking plainly so that they would understand. Not only what was about to happen, but what they should do when things come up. He said to have peace. Then he says, things are going to happen. Finally don’t worry because I have already overcome it. It is already done. All you have to do is have peace in the middle of it all.

Ask him

At that time you won’t need to ask me for anything. I tell you the truth, you will ask the Father directly, and he will grant your request because you use my name. You haven’t done this before. Ask, using my name, and you will receive, and you will have abundant joy.

John 16:23‭-‬24 NLT

A while ago, getting prepared to leave for our trip, I started to make a list of things to get done for the car to be safe. Then I get a call that tells me “when I stop the car gets hot, and when I drive it blows cold air again, and it over heated and cooled back down.”. As I am racking my brain at what it could be, I couldn’t think of it. I get home and when she gets home it’s late. I’m out there looking at the car taking stuff apart and back together when, I finally started it up and realized the fan wasn’t blowing to cool the engine off, and blow the cold air in the car. Took off what is called a fan control module(I’m teaching you something ladies). I took it to AutoZone to see how much it cost. $275+tax. So right their I started thinking this is going to impact our trip and they had to order it. Came back home and on the ride home I held the part and prayed that God would do it.

HERE IT IS…

It took a lot for me to get that part off, and it required me to be up later than I wanted. I took the part to a place where I could get another and they didn’t have it. But when I got home, I put the part back on, put it back together hooked the battery up and started the car. Sometimes you may have to go through a lot and sacrifice some sleepless nights so that you can pray over somethings that’s not working the way they should and invite God to fix it. When I started it I heard a noise of the Fan kicking on. Just lay your hands on it, call on his name with a sincere heart pull your self back together and watch God work in your favor…
