Refocus

”Jesus replied, “Leave her alone. She did this in preparation for my burial. You will always have the poor among you, but you will not always have me.”“

Jesus is being prepared for the burial and not the cross. This blew my mind because I’m reading this before I failed to take notice of the fact that he was being prepared for his burial and not the cross. Jesus often spoke of what would happen to him and how it would happen as time drew near he valued the details of his burial more than the details of his death. Instead of dwelling on the fact he is going to die he changed his focus from brutality to immorality. Meaning from his physical and flesh dying to his spirit ascending.

HERE IT IS…

Remember that Jesus died for our sins but was raised for our spirit to follow the same path. He died for what we will do while physically alive. He was buried to help us understand that our physical body will die. He was raised to show us the path our spirit will take when he returns. He chose to focus not on the act of the death. Not to focus on the brutality of his demise. Chose to look at the way things were happening different because this will not be a normal ceremonial death and funeral. This will be a continuation of what’s to come.
